About my Infographic
The book I read was Car Trouble by Jeanne DuPrau. I choose three symbols to represent the main characters.I picked a computer because Duff is a computer genius who is going to California for his job, a thumb because Stu is a hitchhiker, And a guitar because Bonnie wants to be a singer and is traveling with Duff and Stu because Stu said he had a friend in California that Is in the music business. Working together as a team is a theme in Car Trouble.Duff and Stu took turns driving. Duff, Bonnie, and Stu used teamwork to solve problems but not all the members acted in ways that were best for the team. Decision making is another theme in Car Trouble. Duff made many decisions throughout his journey to California. He made a lot of bad decisions, like picking up a hitchhiker, he answered an ad looking for a driver, and didn’t report that his wallet was stolen to the police. The only good decision he made was calling his dad when he got to california. His dad reminded him to call home if he got in trouble but Duff though he would handle things on his own. things got better after he called his dad. The map of America shows how far Duff travelled to get to his new job. The car, wallet, and bad guys show some of the things Duff encountered on the way. My quotes show the setting and that Duff knew what he was supposed to do if he ran into trouble. They also show some of the problems that he faced because he wanted to solve his problems on his own instead of calling his Dad for help.
why you should read my book
have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel across the country with a hitchhiker and a girl you just met? If you read Car Trouble you will find out. Car Trouble is written by Jeanne Duprau. She won many awards for her book, The City of Ember. My book is the best book to read because just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be something else that goes wrong….something does. Trouble follows Duff wherever he goes. The book was easy to read, there was adventure, a car sick dog named Moony, bad guys following them and lots of car trouble to keep you guessing what would happen next. There is a lesson to be learned from this story, don’t be afraid or too stubborn to ask for help when you need it.
